Zombies of the Living Dead (Good Old Fashion fun Horror Movie) starrs Josh Meny as the lead character, Police Officer Sid Jensen, Johanna Ciampa in the supporting role as Mary, Sid’s love interest, Cheyenne Adamson, co-starring as Town Looser Cisco, as well as Christian Ackerman as Jack, co-starring Timothy Jayko as Doctor Frank, an inventor scientist, and many more . . .
Zombies attack a the town of Clear Water Hamilton County and the locals must try to stop them before it is too late. Filled with great zombie monster special effects, exploding heads, action packed, and lots of crazy fun; comes a horror film expected by its creator Christian Ackerman.
The movie was shot entirely with a cast/crew of volunteers. “We made this film with no budget, but with the funds from our own piggy banks and family.”—Christian Ackerman
Things to look for: a lot of practical special effects utilizing hand made puppets to create illusions of gore and disgust. One cool gag in the film are the bloody intestine wielding zombie legs and severed body with wagging spine.
There are a share of digital effects that balance out with more gritty practical gory trickery.
Another cool thing done in this film was the 2nd unit production. Trevor Graciano the 2nd Unit Director shot a number of scenes in San Diego California While the rest of the movie was being shot in Montana by Director Christian Ackerman. “I cut the shots together to seamlessly blend the actors from California and the actors from Montana to merge one scene together. They interact with each other and you can’t even tell it was shot in two different states”—Christian Ackerman — “We did this, so that my good friend from California could be in my film. It’s cheaper then buying everyone plane tickets and we get to make a movie together still like we’ve done when we were in high school.”
Director Statement
“Movie making is a passion hobby for me. It’s just what I do naturally in my spare time. I’ve made a number of films which have been self distributed worldwide and have had success with BrainDamage Films picking up my movie “Wisconsin Project X” distributing it Worldwide all over the media markets. Feature films is what I do, I can’t help myself! And, I am thankful to get a lot of help through my co-workers, family, and friends.”
