Oh, boy. This is going to have people talking. Perfectly timed to tackle a subject dominating mainstream media, LAHorror.com’s Hunter Johnson has announced production of his second feature film, Serena Waits. A true horror story can be found when based in reality and this movie is sure to spur different emotions from its target audience, something that cinema is supposed to do.

It looks like our antagonists are about to get a little more than three months in protective prison… compliments of I Spit on Your Grave-type terror. When an alcohol fueled hook up takes a violent and horrifying turn, three college athletes find themselves haunted by the very girl they left for dead.

When penning the script, Hunter Johnson took influences from The Last House on the Left, A Nightmare on Elm Street and I Know What You Did Last Summer, and crafted the perfectly bloody revenge horror film that fans will see in 2017. Where the media has showcased the lack of consequences in relation to violent crimes against women in recent months, Serena Waits is going to become a martyr for all those who’ve been denied justice.

Brialynn Massie, Charles Chudabala, Lara Jean Mummert, Colton Wheeler, Emily Dahm, David Marlowe and Jennifer Clarke will star in Serena Waits when it begins principle photography later this month. The film is produced by Charles Chudabala, Emily Dahm, Paul Davila, Hunter Johnson and Paul Stephen Edwards. Give em Hell, guys!
