Back in May, DoctorGore informed readers of a new indie film that was in production called Mansion of Blood. Production on this film officially wrapped in July and now you can view the trailer. Click here to check it out! For those of you who don’t remember, here’s a quick run down. Mansion of Blood is a horror film that is written and directed by Mike Donahue in conjunction with Elusive Entertainment, Welcome Home Productions, Dream Cinema Productions, and Frank Mora Productions. The plot of Mansion of Blood is described as, ” a grueling horror [film] set in an abandoned haunted mansion built in 1912 which is renovated in 2012 by millionaire Mason Murphy. To celebrate his new home he hosts a lunar eclipse viewing party at the mansion, inviting everyone in the small town of River Ridge. A witch casts a spell under the eclipse to visit with the spirit of her dead boyfriend, but the magic runs out of control due to the magically charged items in the house. Thrown outside of normal space and time, the guests are trapped at the mansion until the curse can be broken.”
Based on the trailer for the film, it looks like the film will contain zombies, a crazy killer, ghosts, and a whole lot more. Award winning actor Gary Busey (Piranha 3DD), Oscar nominated actress Terry Moore, Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, Said Faraj, Sarah Alami (VH1’s Scream Queens 2), Sam Stone (Halloween Night) and the niece of Universal Pictures founder Carla Laemmle (Dracula) will all star in Mansion of Blood along with a few others. Carla Laemmle has been quoted as saying, “I am so excited to be appearing in another horror movie. I spoke the first line of dialogue ever in a horror movie which was Dracula in 1931 and I have the last line of dialogue in Mansion of Blood 80 years later.” That is quite the achievement for Carla, well done!
Despite rumors that Gary Busy was booted from the film for complaints or rumors that he left to mourn the loss of Jeff Conoway, it appears that is Gary is heavily featured in Mansion of Blood. All of his fans can rest easy. Click here to check out the trailer.
