So I guess its a slightly re-done, re-do? Ok then…
Robert Hall’s Dry County Entertainment is hanging out at the CHOPPING MALL. The shingle acquired remake rights to the 80’s Roger Corman horror title, Variety’s Dave McNary reports. Hall and producing partner Kevin Bocarde will produce and write, with Hall directing a shoot that’s set for spring. The original CHOPPING MALL centered around a group of teenagers who become trapped in a shopping mall with killer robots. Bocarde said the new movie won’t be a straight remake, adding, “It will retain the basic concept of young people trapped in a mall; however, the story will have a darker, supernatural spin.”
