Deadly Beauty: Horror’s Scream Queens and Rising Talent: Haley Jay Madison
“I am an actor and model based out of Dayton, Ohio. I love to make horror movies and getting covered in blood. I also love to help create breathtaking images for everyone to admire. Being on set is what I live for and meeting so many amazing people along the way is what makes me want to keep going and follow my dreams.”*
Location: I was born and raised in Denver Colorado, but now I reside in Dayton Ohio. I call both places my home.
1. How did you get into the industry?
I got into the industry with a mix of luck and will power. I got a tattoo done by a local filmmaker who asked me to be in a movie. That was over a year ago and since then I’ve been going to conventions and trying to get to know as many people as I can in the industry. I love horror, I just didn’t know it until I was asked to be a part of it all.
2. What Scream Queen inspired you most?
The Scream Queen that inspires me most would have to be Erin R. Ryan. I know I should pick some really famous actress who has done a bunch of great movies, but the first actress that comes to mind is her. Erin Ryan lives here in Dayton as well and has worked with a lot of the same directors as me. I am greatly inspired by her desire to be in acting, and she does such a great job in every movie she is a part of. I look to her as a guide on how to be as an actor, she cares more about bringing a character to life and being on set more than anything. She is also a really great friend to have, and I wish her all the luck in the world! Speaking of Erin, we are in an upcoming release from Dustin Mills Productions, Kill That Bitch which comes out in September. Its supposed to be a slasher film, but if you know anything about Dustin’s style its not just your typical slasher film.
3. What are the next couple projects you are working on?
The next project in store for me is a movie called “Hunters” written and directed by Adam Ahlbrandt. It is set in the eighties, so get ready for horrible hair, clothing, and enough bad slag to make your parents remember the times they were in college saying the same things. The best word to describe this move is BRUTAL and I don’t think anyone will be prepared for what happens in this film. I play a film student named Lucy, and some other actors involved are Jadie Goodpaster, Miss Kacie Marie, and Linea Quigley. We start filming in less than two weeks, and you can keep up with the production through my blog on Tumblr, along with Hunters’ Facebook page.
