A leaked trailer for the upcoming direct-to-video remake, yes I said remake not sequel, of Fright Night 2 has hit the interwebs and you should probably watch it before it gets yanked! This film turns the tables a bit and features a female “Gerri Dandridge” who was originally played by Chris Sarandon and then Colin Farrell in the 2011 remake.
Fright Night 2 is directed by Eduardo Rodriguez (Curandero, Stash House) and stars Will Payne as Charlie Brewster; Jaime Murray as Gerri Dandridge; Sean Power as Peter Vincent; Sacha Parkinson as Amy Peterson and Chris Waller plays ‘Evil’ Ed Bates.
Fright Night 2 is scheduled to drain your wallet on home video on October 1st, 2013.
Plot Synopsis
When high school student Charlie attends a study abroad program with his horror-obsessed friend “Evil” Ed and ex-girlfriend Amy in Romania, he soon discovers their young attractive professor Gerri (Jaime Murray, “Dexter”) is a real life vampire. Too bad no one believes him. In fact, Evil Ed finds it amusing, and it only feeds his vampire obsession. When Gerri turns Ed, Charlie seeks out Peter Vincent, the infamous vampire hunter (well, he plays one on TV) who is in Romania filming his show “Fright Night,” to teach him how to take down Gerri before she gets to Amy, whose blood will cure Gerri of spending eternity as a vampire.
