It seems like only last month Weber Pictures was working on a Sheriff Tom spinoff/prequel series, because, well, the whole team was… That project, titled Zombies Incorporated, will make its debut at the end of October at the infamous Chiller Theatre. Fresh off the heels of that good news, Weber Pictures has officially started principal photography on its latest flick, Witches Blood. And this will be the third and final installment in the Mary Horror franchise.
Ryan Scott Weber is back in the writer and director chair, while also reprising his role as the lovable and laughable Billy. Returning cast members include Joe Parascand as Sheriff Tom, Thomas Brady, Kristen Accardi, Kayt Supple, Jason Jackson, Jeff Fetzko, Edward X. Young, and Jessica Mulcahy. New characters and new faces, such as that of Jessica Montano, will also be introduced.
“Mary Horror is back! She has her spell book and is ready to reck havoc on the small town of Bernardsville. She needs the blood of the four witches who created the spell book to make it her own once again. Sheriff Tom will do anything to stop her from destroying everything in her path and to get the book back in his hands. Third times a charm in the ultimate showdown between Sheriff Tom and Mary Horror in Witches Blood!”
Having been behind-the-scenes the last couple of days, I’ve already had a few interesting experiences. Being on a Ryan Weber set is always a great time. Doing special FX make up, freezing in the cold, seeing people get hit with shovels, and stepping in horse poop – aw, the joins of indie horror film making.
Production of Witches Blood is expected to continue for the next two weeks, with an estimated release date to be the second quarter of 2014. Below you can find official stills from filming, as well as one of me on set with the cast and crew.
