Ahhhh, it’s that time of year again, there’s a chill in the air, the leaves are starting to die and the Chicago Horror Film Festival has risen up from the grave once again to descend upon the city like a ravenous zombie looking for a meal. This year’s CHFF is celebrating a decade of destruction and promises to be the best yet, with a weekend full of Babes, Booze and Blood. The 2013 CHFF will run September 27th-29th, and will feature a new venue at The Des Plaines Theater (1476 Miner Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016). Read on down below for more information about the show.
Willy Adkins will once again be festival director and the festival producer/founder is Jason Davis. Rising cult starlet Natalie Jean, star of the horror films Cross Bearer and The Cemetery will be this year’s official host. Special celebrity guest Alex Vincent (Andy from Child’s Play 1 and 2) will be on hand for autographs and photo ops. Vincent is also promoting the Chicago premiere of House Guest, which he wrote and stars in.
The Chicago Horror Film Festival has become a Chicago institution. With a past that started with the historic 3 Penny Cinema and a future continuing to grow with moving on to new and better venues. What has once started with a simple one day festival to showcase Short Independent Horror films has now become a festival for both feature and short horror films and to be known for seeing many of it’s featured films picked up for distribution.
