Joe Johnston Might Be Facing ‘Extinction’ From An Alien Invasion!

The director of Captain America: The First Avenger is in talks to direct upcoming alien invasion flick Extinction.  Joe Johnston (The Wolfman, Jurassic Park III) has been talking with the folks as Good Universe about the film.  Read on for more details.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Joe Johnston, who directed 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger as well as cult comic book movie The Rocketeer, is in negotiations to direct Extinction, a sci-fi feature project set up at Good Universe.

David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville are producing Extinction, which was written by Spenser Cohen.

Plot details are being kept under wraps but it does involve a man trying to save his family with an alien invasion figuring into the proceedings.  Good Universe picked up the project in late summer 2013.

Mandeville exec Alex Young will exec produce.
