So many of the women who played supporting roles in John Carpenter’s Halloween franchise have had long careers after the movies wrapped. Kathleen Kinmont is one such actress, and I’m positive you’ll be surprised to read where she is now.
Kathleen Kinmont was born in February of 1965 in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Emmy Nominee and soap opera legend Abby Dalton. Her career started to gain momentum in the mid-80s, mostly in the form of comedies including a cameo in Hardbodies (1984) and a supporting role in Fraternity Vacation (1985). She got her first taste of alternative roles when she landed the lead part in the scifi-action movie Phoenix the Warrior. (Have you seen the poster to this title? Look it up!)
Horror fans will remember Kathleen the most for playing Kelley Meeker in Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers in 1988. Kelley was a promiscuous high schooler, and the daughter of Haddonfield’s Sheriff, Ben Meeker. She used her sexuality to sleep with Brady, who was already in a relationship with Jamie Lloyd’s sister, Rachel. Kelley and Brady were caught in the act red handed by Jamie and Rachel on Halloween night. When Michael Myers made his presence known, the group took shelter in Kelley’s house. After a brief moment of fake apologies, Rachel pours hot coffee on Kelley and leaves her alone. Chaos ensued in the moments after and Michael Myers used this opportunity to surprise Kelley, killing her by impaling her with a shotgun and pinning her to the wall ala Bob Simms in the first Halloween or Linnea Quigley in Silent Night, Deadly Night.
Fresh off of her first big success, Kathleen continued her horror streak by booking a cameo in the horror-host action-thriller Midnight (1989), the lead female spot in Bride of Re-Animator (1989), a cameo in Rush Week (1991), and lead roles in Dead of Night (1996) and suspense-thriller Stranger in the House (1997). In between film roles, she started to transition into the world of television, with guest appearances on “Dallas” (1991), “Baywatch” (1994), “Silk Stalkings” (1999) and a recurring role as Cheyenne Phillips in “Renegade” from 1992 – 1996.
So, where is Kathleen Kinmont now?
Starting the new millennium off with a bang, Ms. Kinmont booked the lead role in the scifi-action feature Gangland in 2001. She also had a recurring role as Dr. Richards on “Days of Our Lives” in 2002. As far as horror films go, she was the lead in Psychotic (2002) and was featured in horror-anthologies Prank (2008) and Monsterpiece Theatre Volume 1 (2011). With the new century came new achievements, with Ms. Kinmont lending her commentary to Halloween: 25 Years of Terror (2006), serving as associate producer on The Adventures of Soap Man (2012), and writing and directing Mrs. Sweeney, a 2013 short film about elder abuse.
Currently, Ms. Kinmont owns a successful photography business, releases her own line of yoga videos, and contributes articles on divorce to Huffington Post.
Next to the lovely brunette and well-endowed sexpot and damsel-in-distress Nancy Loomis, the busty, bosomy blonde Kathleen Kinmont as the promiscuous but stuck-up conceited arrogant bitch and popular girl Kelly Meeker was my favorite of the Halloween babes. Back in 80’s she was such a hottie, In Hardbodies (1984), Fraternity Vacation (1985), Rush Week (1989), and especially Halloween 4 (1988) Kathleen’s spectacular big tits were fucking HUGE and perfect and no one in Hollywood did a strip-tease scene better and sexier than her. Then she started going downhill and lost way too much weight on some weird and totally unnecessary-super exercise and diet program and her delicious perfect big tits shrank to nothing almost as if she had a mastectomy.
So what by chance is the nane of her photography business??
Hope she’s still interested in doing a movie or two in the near future too.
