I would enjoy contributing on a regular basis
I’m a film, literature, and horror critic with a deep background in classic genre storytelling and a passion for smart, honest writing. My horror taste leans old-school—ghost stories, Algernon Blackwood, M.R. James, H.P. Lovecraft—but I also champion modern voices like Dan Simmons, Kim Newman, and Bentley Little. If the work is strong, I say so. If it misses, I call that too—with the goal of helping creators improve, not tearing them down.
I’m a devoted Dracula scholar. I’ve studied Bram Stoker’s novel, read academic texts on both the book and his life, and even wrote and directed a stage adaptation. Victorian horror, penny dreadfuls, vampires, werewolves, and ghost stories are my bread and butter. I’m a lifelong “monster kid,” with a collection that goes all the way back to Famous Monsters of Filmland.
I contribute now to FILM THREAT as a Rotten tomatoes critic plus Bloody Flicks, Horror DNA doing both literature and film. I have a soft spot for cult film—everything from misunderstood oddities to scrappy low-budget gems—and I’m right at home.
I’m a strong supporter of independent productions. Most of the screeners I get aren’t from big studios—Infested via Shudder and The Substance and The Munsters remake were exceptions—but I focus on what’s in front of me. My rule is simple: Does the story do what it sets out to do? Budget doesn’t matter—craft does.
Professionally, I’m reliable. I never share screeners, comics, or materials. I’ve written for multiple sites and handled overlapping assignments with transparency—either adapting pieces or working with editors to avoid conflict. I take editing well and treat every assignment with care.
The film ‘Eye for an Eye’ drops this month June 20th via Vertical Entertainment on VOD and in select theaters nationwide. A visually bold, psychologically sharp horror debut from Grammy-nominated director Colin Tilley, starring Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl, Hocus Pocus 2), Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country), and breakout newcomer Laken Giles.
Set in a decaying Florida town, Eye for an Eye blends classic horror tropes with surreal, music-video-style visuals. It’s a haunting story about guilt, complicity, and the terrifying cost of silence — think The Ring meets It Follows, reimagined for a Gen Z audience.
I can submit photos as well press release. Please notify me.
