Where Are They Now? : Melissa Moore

melissaMelissa Moore was born in Kentucky in 1963.

Her career began with horror films, which I think is different than almost everyone I’ve chronicled with my Where Are They Now column.

Melissa was a lead or supporting actress in films such as Evil Spawn (1987), Scream Dream (1989), The Invisible Maniac (1990), Repossessed (1990) – a horror-comedy with Leslie Nielson and Linda Blair, Vampire Cop (1990), Sorority House Massacre II (1990), Hard to Die (1990) – a horror-comedy, Soul Mates (1992), and Stormswept (1995).

Her smaller appearances include Mad at the Moon (1992) – a horror-western, Savage Vengeance (1993), and Face of Evil (1995). Her roles outside of horror include Consenting Adults (1992) with Kevin Kline and Kevin Spacey, Compelling Evidence (1995) with Brigitte Nielson, children’s Friendship’s Field (1995), and A Loss of Innocence (1995) with Jennie Garth.

So, where is Melissa Moore now?

After an eight year hiatus from acting and the world of horror, Ms. Moore returned to our favorite genre with a small part in Hellborn (2003). After an even longer hiatus, she is scheduled to film some scenes for Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance due out in 2015. She will be playing the role of Peggy, the same role she played in the original Samurai Cop in 1991.
