2012 – Ron Palillo, best known for playing “Arnold Horshack” on “Welcome Back, Kotter (TV Series).” He also appeared in “Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI”, “Hellgate”, “Trees 2: The Root of All Evil.” He was 63.

1987 – Sydney Bromley who appeared in the films “Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell,” “Prehistoric Women” and “An American Werewolf In London,” passed away at the age of 78.

1985 – Gale Sondergaard who appeared in the 1939 version of “The Cat and the Canary,” the 1941 version of “The Black Cat” and “The Invisible Man’s Revenge,” passed away at the age of 86.

1984 – J.B. Priestley who wrote the novel “Benighted” on which the film “The Old Dark House” was based, passed away at the age of 89.

1982 – Patrick Magee who appeared in the films “Tales From the Crypt,” “Asylum,” “Dementia 13” and “A Clockwork Orange,” passed away at the age of 58.

1980 – Playboy playmate, model and actress, Dorthy Lee Stratten was murdered by her husband, at the age of 20. She played the title role in the film “Galaxina.”

1972 – Eddie Carmel who played the monster in the closet in the film “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die,” passed away at the age of 36.

1970 – Steve Darell who appeared in the films “The Monolith Monsters” and “Tarantula,” passed away at the age of 65.
