THE BOXLEITNER BROTHERS INVITE HOLLYWOOD TO GO “DOWNSTAIRS”
AT SCREAMFEST HORROR FILM FESTIVAL, OCT. 19

Director Lee Boxleitner and actor Sam Boxleitner will be premiering their eerie film short on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. at the prestigious TCL Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood.

LOS ANGELES – October 1, 2014 – The Boxleitner Brothers, producer/director Lee Boxleitner (A Friend Indeed) and actor/writer Sam Boxleitner (A Friend Indeed), will be premiering their horror short film “Downstairs” at the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. in Hollywood, Calif.

The film follows Flip Schubbers, a staunch security guard whose curiosity sends him investigating noises and smells coming from the basement of a large-scale artist studio complex. Once downstairs, Flip’s quiet evening at work quickly spirals into a night from Hell.

“Downstairs” was penned by The Boxleitner Brothers and helmed by Lee Boxleitner. It stars Sam Boxleitner as Flip Schubbers and features Phoebe Neidhart (The Mindy Project), John Lyke, Andrea Steele, Caitlin Reilly and Lee Boxleitner in supporting roles. The film was produced by The Boxleitner Brothers and Mike Dempsey in association with Bear Punch Productions and Blue House Productions.

“My brother and I have been writing and producing original short films for the past decade,” said Lee Boxleitner. “With our new film ‘Downstairs,’ we hope to evoke terror and laughter from each viewer. When we see the look on an audience member’s face as they laugh at a joke we wrote or jump at a scare we created, there is no feeling in the world that can come close to comparing. We can’t get enough of it.”

“Downstairs” will premiere at the prestigious TCL Chinese 6 Theatres located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, Calif. Tickets are $10, plus taxes and fees.
