ATTENDS THE 5th OAXACA FILMFEST IN MEXICO
Los Angeles, October 3rd, 2014 – Byron A. Martin Productions is proud to announce that their new film productions Serpent’s Lullaby (short) and Wolverine Hotel (screenplay), both directed by award-winning filmmaker Patricia Chica are in Official Competition at Oaxaca FilmFest.

Serpent’s Lullaby – International Short Official Competition

It took Medusa a thousand lives to stare at what she couldn’t see. Serpent’s Lullaby, written by Charles Hall, presents an unexpected and emotional twist on the myth of the gorgon.
Wolverine Hotel – Screenplay Official Competition
(Feature film screenplay, crime drama, Canada-USA)
Written by Canadian Andrew Lynch, Wolverine Hotel delves into the gritty, realistic underground world of three lowlife drug addicts trapped in a dark muck of their own creation which ultimately results in their complete destruction. In the course of seven hours, an ex-stripper, her hustler boyfriend and his misogynistic buddy who just got out of jail, share a dingy hotel room and get caught in a never ending succession of drama involving junkies, cops, a baby and a sadistic gangsta drug dealer. This story is based on true events.
Patricia Chica is recognized internationally for her multiple award-winning genre films notably Day Before Yesterday, The Promise, Rockabilly 514 and most recently Ceramic Tango. She is particularly appreciated for her provocative style and her method of exploring the tormented emotional state of her characters.
