  • 2010 – Leslie Nielsen, starred in “Scary Movie 3-4”, “Dracula: Dead and Loving It”, “Repossessed”, “Creepshow”, “Prom Night”, “Day of the Animals”, “Night Gallery (TV Series)” and more. He was 84.
  • 2009 – Tony Kendal, who appeared in the films “The Whip and the Body,” “Mark of the Devil 5: Return of the Blind Dead” (a.k.a.”Return of the Evil Dead”) and “When the Screaming Stops,” passed away at the age of 73.
  • 2008 – Bill Finnegan, who was executive producer for the film “Night of the Creeps” and the TV series “She Wolf of London,” passed away at the age of 80.
  • 1983 – Christopher George, who starred in the films “Mortuary,” “Pieces” and “Gates of Hell,” passed away at the age of 54.
  • 1978 – André Morell, who portrayed “Professor Quatermass” in the British TV series “Quaternmass and the Pit,” passed away at the age of 69. He also appeared in the films “The Mummy’s Shroud,” “Plague of the Zombies” and “The Giant Behemoth.”
  • 1859 – Author Washington Irving, he wrote the short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” He was 76.
