Horror Society’s 2014 In Memoriam – Paying Last Respects to Those We Lost This Year

Horror Society’s 2014 In Memoriam

It’s been a tough year, that’s for sure. I think it’s been roughest for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre family and fans. In just one year the franchise has lost one leading lady, two stunt men, and an executive producer.

As horror fans, we share such a deep love for the many actors and crew members that have brought us films for the past eight decades. We respect and give them more credit than big Hollywood because each of their masterpieces meant something to us more than just a ten dollar purchase.

With 2014 coming to a close in sixteen days I just wanted to take one final moment to remember all of those hard working men and women that we lost this year. From pioneers to icons, it really has been a rough year! Let’s relive some of their best moments and even remember those with minor contributions to our favorite genre.

I know it’s a possibility that more could pass soon, but let’s hope for a positive end of the year. I will update this post should there be more unfortunate news to report.
