MORE Female Cosplayers Gender-Bending Iconic Killers.

This is a follow up to the article I posted on 07/29/14.

Cosplay has really blown up in popularity recently. There are dozens of conventions every year made especially for cosplayers of all types, and the performance category was even showcased in two seasons of “Heroes of Cosplay” on SyFy. I never really knew what cosplay was until about two years ago; mostly I thought it was just random people with extravagant Halloween costumes. Despite mine and other people’s recent knowledge of this art form, there is no question that people working as cosplayers are extremely talented.

And who knew that there was so much love for horror films in the world of cosplay? Seriously, just google horror cosplay and you’ll get to see thousands of incredible photos. Some of the zombie jobs look as professional as the ones on “The Walker Dead.” For now, though, I’d like to focus again on female cosplayers. I’ve noticed a trend – female cosplayers love to gender bend, and as it relates to horror, they also love to take on iconic slashers and killers and give them a more feminine touch.

Here’s some of the best photos I found during my most recent search.

Just Freddy Krueger, Chucky, and Jigsaw getting together for a party.

Jigsaw is really popular, getting to hang out with a killer clown, Freddy, and the Female Cenobite.

The gang’s all together (and oh so sexy) – Freddy, Jason, Chucky, and Michael Myers.

Pretty sure this is a female Predator.

And here’s Edward Scissor Hands for good measure. I know this character isn’t a killer…but whatever.
