What Does Jameson Whiskey Have to do with Cannibalism?

fghsf

Social media is a beautiful place especially when people stop sharing pictures of their ugly ass kids and their meals.  The last few days a story involving an heir to the Jameson Whiskey fortune and cannibals has been making it’s way through Facebook and Twitter.

The story goes that in 1888 the great, great grandson of the Jameson Whisky founder was traveling through Africa.  The young heir supposedly had a fascination with cannibalism and was hoping to see the heinous act first hand.  Luckily, the situation came to be when Jameson and his entourage came across a cannibalistic tribe willing to eat flesh in front of him.  Jameson then purchased a 1o year old slave girl and gave her to them as a gift.  The tribesmen then tied her to a tree and stabbed her twice.  Once she had died they then began to dismember her body while Jameson drew sketches of the act.

One of Jameson’s men then told the New York Times everything in 1890 after Jameson had died during his travels in Africa.  Debate has raged for several months now whether this actually occurred or not.  Either way I still love me some Jameson!
