- 2014 – Mickey Rooney, prolific actor who appeared in such films as “Boys Town”, “National Velvet”, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” He also appeared in the genre films “Silent Night, Deadly Night 5: The Toy Maker”, “Phantom of the Megaplex”, “The Thirsting” and provided the voice in many Rankin-Bass animated classics such as “Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July”, “The Year Without a Santa Claus”, “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” and more. He passed away at the age of 93.
- 2006 – Amanda Duff who co-starred in the films “The Devil Commands” and ” Mr. Moto In Danger Island,” passed away at the age of 92.
- 2003 – Susan French, who appeared in the TV movie “Captain America II: Death Too Soon,” and the films “Jaws 2″ and “House,” passed away at the age of 91.
- 1998 – Wendy O. Williams, lead singer of the infamous punk rock band The Plasmatics. She was known for her over-the-t0p stage performances. She appeared in the cult classic “Reform School Girls.”
- 1992 – Sci-fi writer Issac Asimov, whose numerous novels and works include “I, Robot,” “Caves Of Steel” and “The Bicentennial Man,” passed away at the age of 72.
- 1991 – Milton Gunzburg, who wrote the screenplay for the film “The Devil Commands,” passed away at the age of 81.
- 1980 – John Collier who has written for the TV shows “The Twilight Zone,” “Lights Out” and “Tales Of The Unexpected,” passed away at the age of 78.
