A unique film that splices folklore of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in horror fashion, inhabited drug use, EDM music and paranormal entities that intertwines with the lives of five friends. The film began production in late 2013 and is set to continue filming in July for completion and release early 2016. Filming will resume in locations throughout Los Angeles ,CA
ICU’s concept is a horror film with a combination of ghost story, Dia De Los Muertos(Day Of The Dead) with a horror twist, fictional legend of Catrina The Lady Of The Dead and friends making dire choices. We veered into the historically celebrated holiday that originated in Mexico prior to Aztec times and has been observed in other parts of the world and cultures dedicated to the goddess known as the Lady Of The Dead corresponding to the modern Catrina for a few thousand years, including here in the U.S. and tied with its connection to All Hallows Eve known as Halloween. These were celebrations of life and death observed with rituals and offerings to connect our world with that of the dead. This gave us a solid foundation to build a unique story, a different story, a SCARY STORY !
