Where Are They Now? : Kevin Patrick Walls

“Scream: The TV Series” is premiering tonight on MTV at 10:00PM and in light of this occasion I decided it would be fun to profile one of Scream‘s original cast members, one that’s browsed over despite being mentioned quite often in the following three sequels.

There’s not a lot of background information available on Kevin Patrick Walls, but IMDB lists his first credited role as a small one in Emmy Nominated The Corpse Had A Familiar Face (1994). Two years later he auditioned for the role of Billy Loomis in Wes Craven’s Scream, with the role eventually going to Skeet Ulrich. Still, Walls landed the role of Steve, Casey Becker’s boyfriend. It was more of a featured extra role, with Steve only seen tied to a chair freaking out and eventually disemboweled, but his death was still monumental in establishing the mood of the new slasher series.

Following his part in Scream, Kevin landed supporting roles in thriller Friend of the Family (1996) and scifi’s Cyberella: Forbidden Passion (1996) before heading over to television with guest spots on “The Pretender” and “The Big Easy” in 1997. When he returned to film, and more specifically horror, it was with his biggest role to date – the supporting role of Kreiger in Blade (1998). Next, he starred in his first feature, a horror-thriller titled Stricken (1998) with Jamie Kennedy and Sean Gunn.

He finished off the millenium with guest spots on “The Practice” and “Seven Days” in 1999.

So, where is Kevin Patrick Walls now?

His career died at the start of the 2000s. He nabbed a small role in horror’s Soulkeeper (2001) and his last credited role was in drama’s Sweet Underground (2004).

There’s no further information on Walls or his career as of present. Although, a mug shot that may or may not be him is on Google, having been uploaded in 2011. It’s possible that Kevin has fallen on hard times, but I’m hoping he just retired from Hollywood and is enjoying a happy and healthy life somewhere else!
