One of the greatest Masters of Horror and the father of Halloween and Michael Myers is about to mark a first in his career decades after it began. At age 67, the iconic film-maker known for directing and composing films like Assault on Precinct 13, Christine, The Fog, Ghost of Mars and Vampires is about to mark his first live performance as a musician.
It was just announced that John Carpenter will headline Iceland’s All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival from July 1 to July 3, 2016. Even though the occasion is almost a year away, I’d recommend ordering your tickets online now to reserve your seat. The event will feature a live band accompanying Carpenter along with spectacular stage productions. He will also be joined on stage by his son, Cody Carpenter, and godson, Daniel Davies, who both helped him produce “Lost Themes.”
“Lost Themes,” a non-soundtrack album made to create moody music, was released by Sacred Bones Records in February 2015. The album made it to the top 120 albums on Billboard and hit #1 on the Electronic Chart. A follow up, “Remixed,” will be released on October 16, 2015.
Carpenter is scheduled to perform hits from his iconic horror films as well as tracks from his latest albums.
