“Lost Boys” Actor Brooke McCarter Has Passed Away.

303308-53Sources are reporting that actor Brooke McCarter has passed away. The actor, just 52-years-old, passed away on Tuesday, December 22nd after a long battle with a rare liver disease. He passed in his home in Tampa, Florida surrounded by loved ones and friends. He leaves behind a 12-year-old daughter.

Brooke McCarter made a splash in the horror scene in 1987. Not only did he appear in an episode of “The Twilight Zone,” but he also played the role of Paul in The Lost Boys. Paul is the friendliest of the pack and his loyalty to them as the movie goes on, ultimately ending with him getting a face full of holy water.

Following The Lost Boys, McCarter appeared in the mystery Double Switch (1993) before taking a long break from acting. He returned in 2009, teaming up with the legendary Herschell Gordon Lewis for The Uh-Oh Show and again in 2011 with Making of the Uh-Oh Show. He also had a small appearance in horror film Emerging Past (2011).

Brooke also directed the Corey Haim documentary Me, Myself and I in 1989 as well as marijuana documentary Leaves of Green in 2002.
