Former “Power Rangers” Star Charged with Murder.

No, No, Power Ranger!

Almost one year to the day, former “Power Rangers” star Ricardo Medina Jr. has been re-arrested in the fatal stabbing of his roommate, Josh Sutter. On January 31, 2015, Medina and Sutter got into a confrontation during a disagreement about Medina’s girlfriend. The confrontation turned violent and Media reportedly stabbed Sutter several times with a sword. He later called police and Sutter was transported to the hospital, but the man died from his injuries shortly there-after. Medina was taken into custody at that time and plead self defense but was released on February 3, 2015 after authorities found insufficient evidence to proceed justice further.

After continuing to research the case and search for new evidence, something must have happened or been discovered as Ricardo was re-arrested on Thursday, January 14th according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. He is currently being held on $1,000,000 bond in a jail in California while he waits his day in court which is scheduled for Tuesday, January 19th. If he’s found guilty, Medina, aged 36, could face 26 years in prison or life in prison. This all perplexes me because I thought you weren’t allowed to be tried for the same crime twice?

Ricardo Medina Jr. is an actor and one-off reality star most known for playing Cole Evans/The Red Lion Ranger in “Power Rangers: Wild Force” in 2002. He returned to the franchise in 2011 for “Power Rangers: Samurai” where he voiced the villainous character Deker. He also had small roles in horror films Bad Blood (2006) and Parasomnia (2008).
