ABOUT ACCEPT
Built around the songwriting nucleus of Hoffmann and bassist Peter Baltes, ACCEPT‘s beginnings can be traced back to the late 1970s. The German band played a pivotal role in the development of speed and thrash metal, which emerged in the early to mid-1980s. Along with Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, ACCEPT has delivered an undeniable impact on the global  metal scene by writing & performing an innovative, pioneering body of work which include some of  the most influential metal albums of all time, including 1982’s Restless and Wild (which debuted  “Fast As A Shark,” the first speed metal song ever recorded), 1984’s Balls To The Wall (the group’s  most well-known song to date which has become a worldwide metal anthem) and 1985’s Metal Heart.  ACCEPT‘s premier status as ambassadors of the genre has led to pop culture crossover into film (The Wrestler), television (Justified; Beavis and Butthead), and the video games realm (Grand Theft  Auto, Guitar Hero). ACCEPT’s popularity and status as one of the world’s exemplary heavy metal bands has allowed them to flourish for decades with no sign of slowing down.Blood of the Nations (2010) and Stalingrad (2012) – both debuted in the American Billboard Top 200 chart and secured impressive chart entries around the world, topping both critic and fan polls in the process. The band continued its success with it’s latest release Blind Rage which landed the band at #35 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart as well as #4 position on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart.
