Lead Cast Return, Filming “Scream: The TV Series.”

“Scream: The TV Series” is still scheduled to roll out the first episode of season two on April 20, which I still find hard to believe considering that – according to behind-the-scenes photos – it looks like shooting only began two weeks ago. Previously producer Bob Weinstein stated that the new season would be scarier, more suspenseful and will have more kills. Once I understood that “Scream: The TV Series” only existed in the same world as Scream 1 – 4 but wouldn’t be canonical, I was on the fence in regards to my enjoyment of the product. However, I’m still holding out hope that the show will be darker in season two… which means don’t rush it!

In the last two weeks almost all of the surviving cast members have been snapping behind-the-scenes photos and posting them to Instagram and Twitter. Already Willa Fitzgerald (Emma), Bex Taylor (Audrey), John Karna (Noah), Carlson Young (Brooke), Amadeus Serafini (Kieran) and Tracy Middendorf (Maggie) have returned to set to begin shooting their scenes. Noticeably absent from the cast reunion is Tom Maden (Jake), who survived season one with a few injuries but who may not be returning for season two. Also, Santiago Segura is present in several photos, which leads me to believe that he has joined in a supporting role.

“Scream: The TV Series” is currently filming in Hahnville and New Orleans, Louisiana.
