Dead DuckSource Point Press Debuts 4 New
Titles at C2E2

Source Point Press has announced they will be debuting four new comic book titles at C2E2 booth #631 in Chicago on March 18th. The comic books are as follows: Dead Duck and Zombie Chick: Rising From the Grave (One-Shot), Norah #1, Savants #1, and The Rot #1.

Dead Duck and Zombie Chick: Rising From the Grave
When folks run afoul of death, death sends a fowl to collect them! First seen in the 2009 “Dead Duck” graphic novel, Dead Duck and his sidekick Zombie Chick make their big return to comics in this one-shot issue, delivering the dead from Camelot to County Fermanagh, while taking pot-shots at pop culture all the way! Created by Jay P. Fosgitt (creator of Bodie Troll, artist on My Little Pony: Friends Forever, cover artist for Avengers: Standoff, and new artist on Rocket Raccoon and Groot), Dead Duck and Zombie Chick: Rising From the Grave is filled with morbid mischief and haunting hilarity for mature readers with immature senses of humor! “Jay Fosgitt is a master cartoonist,” says Skottie Young (I Hate Fairyland, Rocket Raccoon and Groot, Marvel’s The Wizard of Oz). “Dead Duck and Zombie Chick is comic gold.”

Norah #1: Epimetheus
Norah Seizhelm is a “Coma Fisher” for hire. With the ability to tap into the mind’s eye, she’ll either find and retrieve you or help you cross to the other side. A mission of peace, to be sure. But how she obtained this skill is a story filled with government secrets, the death of thousands, and a threat of mass genocide. This new four-issue mini-series is written by Kasey Pierce (author of Pieces of Madness), and springs forth from her sci-fi epic The Prophecy Effect. With gorgeous digitally painted art from Sean Seal (Up the River, Wild Bullets) Norah is a ticking time-bomb packed with mystery, drama, science fiction, and horror. Coming off a wildly successful pre-order opportunity held on Kickstarter (which met its goal within two hours of going live), this mini-series is hitting the ground running.

NorahSavants #1
Amy Berg isn’t like other people, and her uncanny ability to predict things has put her on the U.S. government’s radar. Now under deep investigation, she is forced into an institute for young people with “special” abilities. But little does she know she has a large role to play in something bigger than even she could have predicted. This new five-issue mini-series expands upon the world and characters of the popular Raven Chronicles, and is written by industry legend Gary Reed (Deadworld, St. Germaine, EIC of Caliber Comics). With pencils and inks by Seth Damoose (Xenoholics, Tales of Mr. Rhee, Nightmare World) and colors by Sara Sowles (Hank Steiner: Monster Detective, Durontus: The Lost Serpent), this all-star team has come together to create something unlike anything you’ve seen before.

The Rot #1
Waking up in a field, the thing that used to be known as Dwight Cochran rises. His memories vague, his body weak, he finds strength and lucidity after ‘feeding’, stealing the life force of living things through prehensile dead tissue in his hair and nails. His memories return… of his work as a contract killer, his time on death row, his terminal cancer, and his zealous faith. When a maniacal government scientist performed experiments on Cochran for the military, what did they create? And how much destruction will their creation leave in its wake? This horrific tale is from the mind of David C. Hayes, a world-renowned horror author as well as a prolific actor and filmmaker with over a hundred film credits. Also featuring art by Sean Seal, who’s taking the world of comic books by storm with his unique fine art approach. “This comic is a bona fide work of art,” says Source Point Press Art Director Joshua Werner. “You’ll feel a whole range of emotions while reading; it will break your heart, turn your stomach, excite you, and make you question your own humanity. A truly cinematic experience.”

Along with these debuting titles, Source Point will also have their full line of books, comics and graphic novels at C2E2, including opportunities to get your hands on many issues before they’ve even hit store shelves. You’ll find their publisher’s booth #631 in the map in the C2E2 program.
