For all you cats wondering when we’re going to get a chance to see Rob Zombie’s new film 31, wonder no more as news today announced the film will be seeing a September 16th limited theatrical release date.

Saban Films has acquired North American distribution rights to 31.

The film, which had its world premiere at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival, stars Sheri Moon Zombie and Malcolm McDowell. It follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned compound where they are forced to participate in a violent game, the goal of which is to survive 12 hours against a gang of sadistic clowns.

Rob Zombie wrote and directed 31, which was financed by Bow and Arrow Entertainment, who co-produced with Spectacle Entertainment Group.

The cast for 31 includes Malcolm McDowell, Sheri Moon Zombie, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Lew Temple, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Tracey Walter, Pancho Moler, Jane Carr, Ginger Lynn, Richard Brake, Judy Geeson, David Ury, E.G. Daily, Daniel Roebuck, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, and Torsten Voges.

31 is a treat not just to horror fans, but fans of true auteur filmmaking,” said Saban Films president Bill Bromiley. “The film is executed in true stylistic Zombie fashion. Rob is an unrivaled talent, and we are thrilled to bring his bold new film to audiences across the continent.”
