- 1987 – Sarah Gadon, appeared in “Dracula Untold”, “Antiviral”, ” The Moth Diaries.”
- 1983 – Amanda Righetti, who starred in “Return to the House on Haunted Hill” and the 2009 remake of “Friday the 13th.”
- 1979 – The late Heath Ledger, who starred in “The Order,” “The Brothers Grimm,” “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” and gave a chilling performance as “The Joker” in “The Dark Knight.”
- 1965 – Robert Downey Jr. who starred in the films “Natural Born Killers,” “Gothika,” “In Dreams” and the title role in “Iron Man” 1 , 2,3″, “The Avengers”, and the upcoming “Avengers: The Age of Ultron.”
- 1964 – Comedian David Cross who appeared in “Men In Black,” “Men In Black II” and “Scary Movie 2.”
- 1963 – A. Michael Baldwin, best known for his portrayal of “Mike” in “Phantasm”, “Phantasm II”, “Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead”, “Phantasm IV: Oblivion”, and the upcoming “Phantasm: Ravager.”
- 1960 – Hugo Weaving, who starred as “Agent Smith” in the “Matrix” films, as “V” in “V For Vendetta,” and as “Abberline” in the 2010 remake of “The Wolf Man.” He also provided the voice of “Megatron” in “Transformers” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
- 1954 – Julie Carmen, best known for portraying “Regine Dandridge” in “Fright Night Part 2″, she has also appeared in “In the Mouth of Madness”, “The Omen (TV Movie)”, “Gargantua (TV Movie)” and more.
- 1946 – Craig T. Nelson, best known for playing “Coach” on TV and the father in the “Poltergeist” films. He also co-starred in the film “The Return of Count Yorga” and provided the voice of “The Monster” in the film “Flesh Gordon.”
- 1932 – The one and only “Norman Bates,” the late Anthony Perkins. He starred in the film “Edge Of Sanity,” playing a cross between “Jack The Ripper” and “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY
- 2013 – Roger Ebert, legendary film critic and screenwriter who passed away at the age of 70.
- 2007 – Writer/producer/director Bob Clark, whose credits include “Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things,” “Black Christmas” (1974 & 2006) and “Deathdream,” died in a tragic car accident at the age of 67, along with his 22 year old son Ariel.
- 2006 – Stunt woman Polly Burson, who, incredibly, was still performing stunts at the age of 68, passed away at the age of 86. She did the stunts for the serials “The Crimson Ghost,” “The Purple Monster Strikes” and doubled Julie Adams in “The Creature From The Black Lagoon.”
- 2004 – Austin Willis, who co-starred in the TV series “Space Command,” and appeared in the films “The Boston Strangler” and “Goldfinger,” passed away at the age of 87.
- 2003 – Anthony Caruso, whose impressive list of film credits include “Phantom of the Rue Morgue,” “Claws” and appearances in such TV series as “The Twilight Zone” and “Star Trek,” passed away at the age of 86.
- 2001 – Artist Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, who is credited with creating “The Monster Hot Rod” art form, and the character “Rat Fink” (which he created out of his dislike for Mickey Mouse), passed away at the age of 69.
- 1999 – Faith Domergue passed away at the age of 74. She appeared in many films including “This Island Earth,” “It Came From Beneath the Sea,” and “The Atomic Man.”
