  • 1981 – Taylor Kitsch who appeared in the films “The Covenant,” “Snakes on a Plane” and played “Gambit” in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”
  • 1980 – Katee Sackhoff, who played “Captain ‘Starbuck’ Thrace” on the new “Battlestar Galactica.” She also appeared in the films “Halloween: Resurrection”, “White Noise 2: The Light”, “Riddick”, and “Oculus.”
  • 1973 – Emma Caulfield who played “Anya” on the TV series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” She also starred in the film “Darkness Falls.”
  • 1968 – Patricia Arquette who stars in the TV series “Medium.” She also starred in the films “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors” and “Stigmata.”
  • 1966 – Robin Wright who portrayed “The Princess Bride” and “Wealthow” in “Beowulf.”
  • 1960 – Former “Duke of Hazzard” John Schneider. He starred in the films “Conjurer,” “Ogre,” “Lake Placid 2″ and played “Johnathan Kent” on the TV series “Smallville.” He also appeared in “Return of the Killer Shrews”, “Snow Beast”, and “Super Shark.”
  • 1957 – Pamela Gordon who appeared in “Poltergeist II,” as well as “Subspecies II” and “III.”
  • 1955 – Stuntman/actor and the quintessential “Jason,” Kane Hodder. He also starred in the films “Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield,” “Hatchet,” “Hatchet II” and “Project: Metalbeast” and many more.
  • 1946 – Tim Thomerson, who starred as “Jack Deth” in the “Trancers” films and as “Dollman.”
  • 1943 – Former boxer turned actor, Jack O’Halloran who appeared in both “Superman” and “Superman II” as “Non” and in the 1976 remake of “King Kong.”
  • 1931 – John Gavin who co-starred in the original “Psycho.”
  • 1923 – Edward Mulhare, who starred in the TV series “The Ghost & Mrs. Muir,” as well as films such as “Eye of the Devil” and “Megarforce.”
  • 1921 – Alfie Bass who played “Shagal” in the film “The Fearless Vampire Killers.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY – APRIL 8

  • 2013 – Richard Brooker, he portrayed “Jason Voorhees” in “Friday the 13th Part III” and appeared in “Deathstalker.” He was 58.
  • 2003 – Kathie Brown, wife of the late Darren McGavin, passed away at the age 63. She appeared in several TV shows including the original “Star Trek,” “Mr. Terrific,” The Wild Wild West” and along side her husband in the “Sentry” episode of “Kolchak: The Night Stalker.”
  • 1996 – León Klimovsky, writer and director of such Spanish films as “The Werewolf Versus the Vampire Woman”, “Doctor Jekyll y el Hombre Lobo”, “Vengeance of the Zombies”, “Night of the Walking Dead”, “The People Who Own the Dark” and many more. He was 89.
  • 1996 – Ben Johnson who appeared in the films “The Town That Dreaded Sundown,” the original “Mighty Joe Young” and “Terror Train,” passed away at the age of 77.
  • 1972 – Charles Hoffman who wrote for the TV series “Batman” passed away at the age of 60.
