How do I go about describing a movie like The VelociPastor? It’s a clusterfuck of popular movies like An American Werewolf in London, The Exorcist and Jurassic Park with the flavor of old school grindhouse features thrown in as an added bonus. It’s weird. It’s original. It reads like a bad B-movie. And it’s something I kind of can’t wait to see!

After launching a successful campaign on Seed & Spark and filming a faux-trailer that also served as a short film and has gathered over 35,000 views on YouTube, The VelociPastor is being adapted into a feature film and it’s currently gearing up to resume principal photography this weekend. Brandon Steere has returned to write, direct and produce the movie; and his previous credits include Dead by Dawn (2009) and Animosity (2013). He’ll be assisted in this journey by Hollow Tree Films and Laika Come Home Studios.

Casting is still a little blurry at the moment because I can’t tell who is still on board and who has been recast since filming the faux-trailer featured below. I do know, however, that New Jersey native Randy Memoli has joined the cast. He’ll be playing a very important role in the movie and it’s definitely going to be quite the scaley experience. Memoli is most known for short films Gitchy, Covenant and his self produced Gloom.

I’m sure I’ll have a more official announcement coming soon. This is definitely a title we don’t want to miss out on!
