Javier Bardem in Talks to Appear in ‘FRANKENSTEIN’ Film for Universal’s Monster Universe!

Javier Bardem Frankenstein

The star of No Country for Old Men, Javier Bardem is reportedly in talks to appear in the Frankenstein film for Universal Pictures for their planned monster universe. Bardem would join previously cast A-listers Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, and Russell Crowe who will be appearing in the shared monster universe.

Sources say that Javier Bardem is in talks to star as Frankenstein in Universal’s classic monster movie series. It’s currently unknown which monster feature Bardem would first appear in. Cruise and Crowe’s “The Mummy,” the first film in the monster series, is nearly done with filming.

Universal is also developing a “Bride of Frankenstein” feature, but sources indicate that Bardem’s Frankenstein would likely appear in another monster pic first with the possibility of getting a spin-off down the road.

There have also been rumors swirling around that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is being eyed to play the Wolf Man in an upcoming film, but keep in mind, these are just rumors.

The studio has been eyeing Bardem to play a key role in the burgeoning cinematic universe. The actor was up for the role of Jekyll/Hyde, but the part ultimately went Crowe.

No matter which role he hopefully will be playing, you can’t go wrong with Bardem.

We will be watching this very closely and as soon as we get any confirmation as to which role Bardem will play, we will let you know, so keep it right here at Horror Society for all the latest!
