IGN and Dread Central have confirmed that actress Ellen Sandweiss will return to the role of Cheryl Williams in an upcoming episode of “Ash vs. Evil Dead” season two. Executive producer Rob Tapert tells IGN, “Ash’s sister makes a tiny little guest appearance, causes a little commotion.” This is actually the second time Sandweiss will appear on the show, if you include the blink and you’ll miss it shot during the recap in episode one.
Ellen Sandweiss has been a part of the Evil Dead family since the very beginning. She appeared in the precursor to the series, Within the Woods (1978), co-starred in cult classic The Evil Dead (1981), appeared in mockumentary My Name is Bruce (2007) and lent her voice over to the Evil Dead Remake of 2013.
Welcome back, Ellen!
“Ash vs. Evil Dead” is slated to return to Starz Network in October 2016. Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert serve as executive producers. Bruce Campbell stars as Ash.
