  • 1976 – Soleil Moon Frye, best known for playing “Punky Brewster.” She appeared in the film “Pumpkinhead II: Bloodwings” and the TV movie “Piranha.”
  • 1974 – Ever Carradine, granddaughter of John Carradine. She starred in the film “Dead & Breakfast.”
  • 1973 – Vera Farmiga, starred in “Bates Motel (TV Series)”, “The Conjuring.”
  • 1970 – M. Night Shyamalan, writer/director of the films “The Sixth Sense,” “Unbreakable,” “Signs” and “The Happening.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY

  • 2001 – Robert Dunham who appeared in the films “Dagora, the Space Monster,” “The Green Slime” and “Godzilla vs. Megalon,” passed away at the age of 70.
  • 1964 – Considered one of the greatest character actors of all time, Sir Cedric Hardwicke passed away at the age of 71. He starred in the films “The Invisible Man Returns,” “Ghost of Frankenstein” and the 1939 version of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”
  • 1938 – Warner Oland, who starred as “Charlie Chan” in a series of films in the 30’s, and as “Dr. Yogami” in the film “WereWolf of London,” passed away at the age of 57.
