  • 1982 – Devon Aoki, who appeared in “The Mutant Chronicles” and “Sin City.”
  • 1965 – Claudia Christian, has appeared in “Grimm (TV Series)”, “The Haunting of Hell House”, “Hexed”, “Maniac Cop 2”, “The Hidden” and “Babylon 5 (TV Series).”
  • 1964 – Beverly Randolph, she had a short career in Hollywood, but will forever be known for playing “Tina” in “The Return of the Living Dead.”
  • 1963 – Rosanna Arquette, who starred in the TV movie “The Dark Secret of Harvest Home” and the films “Fait Accompli” and “Amazon Women on the Moon.”
  • 1960 – Antonio Banderas, who starred in the films “Interview With a Vampire,” “The 13th Warrior” and “The Mask of Zorro.” He also provided the voice of “Puss “N” Boots” in the sequels to “Shrek.”
  • 1939 – British beauty Kate O’Mara, appeared in the Hammer films “The Horror of Frankenstein”, “Vampire Lovers” and “Night Creatures.”
  • 1918 – Martin Benson, who has appeared in the films “Gorgo,” “The Cosmic Monsters,” “The Omen,” and as “Martin Solo” in “Goldfinger.”
  • 1914 – Jeff Corey, who appeared in the films “Superman and the Mole Men,” “In Cold Blood,” “The Boston Strangler” and as the “Crypt Keeper” in “Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man.”
  • 1913 – Famed character actor Noah Beery Jr. He appeared in the films “The Cat Creeps,” “Rocketship X-M” and “The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao.”
  • 1912 – Wilbur Stark, father of Koo, who was executive producer of such films as the 1982 version of “The Thing” and producer of “Vampire Circus.” He passed away a day after his 81st birthday on August 11, 1995.
  • 1910 – Mae Clarke, who portrayed “Elizabeth” in the one and only original version of “Frankenstein.”
  • 1908 – Alexander D “Arcy, who appeared in the films “Horrors of Spider Island” and “Blood of Dracula’s Castle.”
  • 1902 – Writer Curt Siodmak, who created the legend of the “Wolf Man.” His numerous screenplays include “The Invisible Man Returns,” “Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man,” “Son of Dracula,” “Creature With the Atom Brain” & “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers.” He also directed the films “Bride of the Gorilla,” “Curucu, Beast of the Amazon.”
  • 1898 – Jack Haley who played the “Tin Man” in “The Wizard of Oz.”

  • 2012 – Italian Special makeup effects wizard Carlo Rambaldi. He created creatures for such films as “Silver Bullet”, “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”, “Alien”, “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, “King Kong” 1976, “Deep Red” and many more. He passed away at the age of 86.
  • 2008 – Acclaimed musician and actor Isaac Hayes. He appeared in “Return to Sleepaway Camp”, “Uncle Sam”, “Soul Survivors”, “Escape from New York” and more. He also voiced the character of “Chef” in South Park (TV Series).” He was 65.
  • 2002 – “B” Movie director, Doris Wishman, passed away at the age of 82. Her numerous films included “Nude on the Moon,” “Bad Girls Go to Hell,” and “The Amazing Transplant.”
  • 1979 – Dick Foran who appeared in “The Mummy’s Hand,” “The Mummy’s Tomb” and “The Atomic Submarine,” passed away at the age of 69.
  • 1976 – Stuntman Ray “Crash” Corrigan, who played the title role of “The Ape,” “It, the Terror From Beyond Space” and appeared in “The Zombies of Mora Tau,” passed away at the age of 74.
  • 1970 – Toho effects whiz Eiji Tsuburaya, passed away at the age of 69.
