“Scream: The TV Series,” Episode 2.11 – Heavenly Creatures
[WARNING: ALL MAJOR EPISODE SPOILERS TO FOLLOW]

INTRO: This episode kicks things off with a suspenseful start. Emma and Maggie are asleep and it’s around 3:30am. The alarm safeguarding the house is inexplicably disabled and Ghostface tries to break into the house. After two unsuccessful attempts, he’s able to pick the lock to the back door and enters the house, buck knife in hand. He sneaks upstairs and enters Emma’s room, but he does not attack her, instead opting to steal the dream journal Karen Lang advised her to keep. The movement of her belongings awakens Emma and she discovers that Ghostface slipped out of her room already, though she is aware of his presence elsewhere. She grabs a pair of scissors and goes downstairs to confront him, only finding the front door wide open and a wooden heart hanging from the knob with her name written on it. Emma calls for Maggie, who calls the police, and Maggie tells Acosta she thinks this could have happened because she tried to contact Brandon James.

Not Himself: Noah is still in the hospital recovering from his head injury and stab to the abdomen. He doesn’t look well and his mental stability is a little strained as well. Emma, Audrey, Brooke and Kieran go to visit him and bring him a lap top filled with all his favorite movies: all of them scary. Noah admits that he doesn’t want anything to do with scary movies anymore. He doesn’t want to hunt for Piper Shaw’s accomplice anymore and he wants them to dismantle The Murder Board. He also says that he is ending his podcast, The Morgue, after the final show he plans on recording. Meanwhile, Brooke and Gustavo are still staying in the hotel room, Gustavo drawing a picture of Brooke’s Dad all bloody. They turn on a press conference where he’s speaking, addressing the crowd while subtly begging Brooke to come home.

If We Must: Emma, Audrey and Kieran go to Noah’s house to fulfill his wishes of The Murder Board being taken apart. Emma wants Audrey to clarify that she’s been 100% honest with the information and isn’t hiding anything, to which Audrey promises she’s been honest about everything she knows. As they go through the board, Audrey finds pictures of Noah and Zoe and keeps them safe in her pocket. Emma finds a newspaper clipping of her boyfriend, Will, and his funeral as one of the victims of last year’s massacre. Her sadness turns to shock when she notices Eli standing in the back of the photo. This means Eli was in Lakewood during last year’s murders and kept that information a secret from everyone. Later, Audrey goes back to the hospital to tell Noah the new information, but he really doesn’t want to be involved anymore. So, Audrey hands over the photos of Noah and Zoe and tells her that she went through it when Ghostface killed her girlfriend, Rachel, last year and she’s there if he needs to talk. The tender moment is then interrupted by Ghostface texting her more obnoxious messages.

All Signs Point to: Audrey rejoins Emma and Kieran and shows them the text messages saying “Emma’s good at cutting people off, but I’ll cut deeper.” Emma remembers text messages that Eli sent her that sounded similar, especially after the confrontation they had at the town festival. Realizing Eli could be the killer, Kieran goes into a rage and charges off, but Emma is able to calm him down and get him back on track. Instead, they decide to search his bedroom for answers. At his house, Aunt Tina is back and packing, saying Brooke’s Dad is paying them $15,000 to leave town. Eli doesn’t want to go because he has things he needs to finish and even gets violent with Aunt Tina. They go into the backyard to argue some more, giving the trio to sneak inside and go through Eli’s room. They almost come up empty handed until Emma finds a stack of the letters Audrey sent to Piper underneath his bed, meaning Eli was probably the one blackmailing Audrey all season with those incriminating evidence.

Not There After All: Turns out Eli isn’t in the backyard. Brooke’s Dad calls her to come home again, but someone inside the mansion starts blasting music. He goes inside to investigate and while he’s in a different wing of the house, Eli sneaks in and steals files from his office, leaving a note that reads “You are so screwed” behind. Meanwhile, Sheriff Acosta is interviewing Karen Lang about her relationship to Piper Shaw, of which she says there was none. There was a huge age gap between the girls and she was only there a few months. Karen says if Sheriff Acosta really wants to find the killer, he needs to look at his own son or Emma, who has displayed really weird behavior all season. The only reason she was secretly taping everyone is because she was doing a case study for a book on The Lakewood Six and didn’t think they’d trust her. Bitch. Also, Brooke and Gustavo finally decide to leave their love nest and head home.

Lose Ends: Before going home, Gustavo goes to the hospital to visit Noah and begs him not to end The Morgue, saying it “does something” for people. He leaves, but not before giving Noah pages from the graphic novel he’s drawing. Brooke starts trying to rebuild the relationship with her father for a second time, but he needs to leave to meet Ghostface at the pig farm. Good idea. Emma and Audrey are on the way to the pig arm, too, to look for answers and they split up once they get there. Emma immediately finds the secret room built into the wall and discovers her dream journal inside. The girls see Brooke’s Dad roll up and decide to spy on him. Ghostface leads Brooke’s Dad into the barn, just as he did with Noah in the woods. Brooke’s Dad is about to leave, but Ghostface sneaks up and stabs him in the chest with a pitch fork. The girls stumble onto the scene, with Ghostface already long gone, and try to save him to no avail. Brooke’s Dad dies from the pitch fork stab.

END: Noah is recording his final podcast when he gets the realization that he needs to keep it going because Zoe loved it so much and it’s what brought them together. Instead, he dedicates the episode to her and tries to upload it… just as his computer is hacked by Ghostface and a mystery file is uploaded in the podcast’s place. It’s a file containing footage Ghostface received by spying, audio clips from Karen Lang’s tapes, pages from Emma’s dream journal and worst of all – clips of all the murders from this season. It all paints a picture that Emma and Audrey are the killers. EVERYONE sees it. It’s obviously a plot for Ghostface to ruin their lives more, but no one knows that. The cops show up at the pig farm and start combing the area for evidence. Worst of all, and much to Maggie and Kieran’s horror, the police take Emma and Audrey into custody. While being taken to the police station, they realize if everyone thinks they killed Brooke’s Dad, then everyone probably thinks they’ve been the killers all along.
