  • 1962 – Amy Yasbeck, who appeared in “The Mask,” “Dracula: Dead and Loving It” and “House II: The Second Story.”
  • 1960 – Robert John Burke, appeared in “Witchblade (TV Series)”, “Thinner”, “RoboCop 3”, “Dust Devil”, “Nightmare Weekend.”
  • 1957 – Composer Hans Zimmer who has done the score for many movies including the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films, “The Dark Knight” and “Inception.”
  • 1951 – Joe Pantoliano, who appeared in “The Matrix,” “Daredevil” and “Amazon Women on the Moon.”
  • 1938 – Anne Helm who appeared in the films “The Magic Sword” and “Nightmare in Wax.”
  • 1931 – Sir Ian Holms who appeared in “Lord of the Rings,” “From Hell” and the 1994 version of “Frankenstein.”
  • 1927 – Freddie Jones who appeared in the films “Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed,” “The Satanic Rites of Dracula” and “Dune.”
  • 1923 – Make-up artist John Chambers, whose film credits include the “Planet of the Apes” films, “Sssssss” and “Halloween II.”

DIED ON THIS DAY IN HORROR HISTORY

  • 2001 – Victor Wong, who appeared in “Prince of Darkness” and “Tremors,” passed away at the age of 71.
  • 1993 – Director Charles Lamont, whose film credits include “Abbott & Costello Meet the Mummy,” “Abbott & Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” and “Abbott & Costello Meet the Invisible Man,” passed away on at the age of 98.
  • 1993 – “Ironside” himself, Raymond Burr, passed away at the age of 76. He appeared in the American versions of the original “Godzilla” and “Godzilla 1985,” as well as “Rear Window,” “Gorilla at Large” and “Bride of the Gorilla.”
  • 1992 – Anthony Perkins, best known for playing the ultimate momma’s boy, “Norman Bates,” passed away at the age of 60.
  • 1978 – Craig Slocum, who played “Harry Johnson” on the original “Dark Shadows” TV series, passed away at the age of 37.
