As I previously reported, Jason Harlow and Justin Bates are producing a sequel to the 1992 shot-on-video cult classic Evil Night, which follows a young man who returns to seek bloody vengeance on his tormentors by use of telekinetic powers. Evil Night has maintained a certain level of cult fandom over the last 20 years and it even received a remake of sorts in 2014. The big question is – can Another Evil Night stack up as a capable horror sequel? Can it get the job done and feel like a continuation of Todd Jason Cook’s original work? If I’m going to base my opinion on the teaser clips currently available below, I’m going to go with a resounding yes! It looks like the nostalgia, the laughs, the cheap scares and the blood will flow in Jason Harlow’s Another Evil Night. Get ready for this one, folks!

One aspect of the film that will definitely have fans moving is the fact that it is a direct sequel to the first 1992 film. Not only has Todd Jason Cook returned to executively produce and provide additional scores, but Harlow let it slip in a September interview with The Blood Shed that Evil Night‘s killer, Jimmy Fisher, will be featured in the new movie – hacking and slashing away at a group of Halloween partygoers alongside a new killer, a protege if you will. It takes two, baby! While that’s all the information I have for now, I’m extremely excited about this upcoming title and I’m hotly anticipating its Fall 2017 release. I’m glad that Harlow and Scream Time Films will be sporadically releasing clips to keep us all on the edge of our seats until then.
