George Nevada’s JACK THE ST. RIPPER!

Serial Killer characters are a big part of movie culture and have helped shape horror as we see it today. But the serial killer isn’t limited to just horror. They’ve been in thrillers, genres, and even comedies. There are so many different ways to go about a story without having to resort to the cliche tropes; modern audiences love killers and anti-heroes, often finding both in the same figure.

George Nevada is the director of SCARECROWD aka THE MUSK (SRS CINEMA) a slasher horror movie with a deranged mutant scarecrow killer. SCARECROWD mixes Lovecraft with THE WIZARD OF OZ and recalls the horror movies from the Eighties… Oh the ’80s! They are considered by some to be one of the golden ages of horror, filled to the brim with slashers, monsters, and eye-popping special effects.

JACK THE ST. RIPPER melds together multiple sub-genresis and is announced like a mix between NEON DEMON and MAGIC MIKE (!) I’m definitely digging what Nevada and company put together, and I really love the understated retro flavor the poster is selling.

Cast: Cleverson Rodrigues, Giorgio Agri, Antony Ferry, Frances Williams, George Roma, Chiara Pavoni
