Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

Brief Summary: A first person survival horror that follows protagonist Ethan Winters who gets drawn to the seemingly desolate plantation in Dulves, Louisiana, in search of his missing wife, Mia winters.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard: Evil Dead meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre. What a ride this game was. Before we get started, I’m not going to get too much into detail as I don’t want to ruin the experience for you, or spoil anything. Because trust me: you’ll want to experience this thrill ride first-hand.

Now, I know what you’re thinking – the past few RE games were absolute garbage and that they should’ve stopped making them? Yeah, me too, but, I am beyond happy that they didn’t. I mean, seriously, this game truly did justice to the RE series and was totally unexpected. The story was great, the gameplay extremely fun, and the jump scares were glorious. This is a game that you needed (but didn’t want to) to take a break from because of how intense it got. From running around trying to hide and evade Jack Baker (one of the antagonist and the patriarch of the Baker family; easily the most intimidating of the bunch) to fighting big, black, slimy creatures with big claws, known as “Molded”. This game has everything you’d expect in a RE game – puzzles, boss fights, and weird creatures. Now, I know many people were hoping for the return of zombies in this one, and I hate to disappoint you, but there are no zombies whatsoever featured in this game, and that’s okay! Trust me. You’ll be very happy that they turned a completely different direction in this instalment.

I rate this game 4 out of 5 stars. Any type of gamer will absolutely love and appreciate this wonderful, and twisted game.
