Barbara Crampton Joins Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich, Filming to Begin Next Week.

On March 24th 2017, legendary horror actress Barbara Crampton shocked and amazed genre fans once again when she announced that she officially joined the cast of the upcoming Puppet Master installment – Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich. Fresh off the heels of 2017’s Puppet Master X: Axis Rising and Puppet Master: Axis Termination, the new film featuring returning killer toys Blade, Pinhead and Tunneler is being hailed as a reboot of the franchise due to actual stars and talent behind-the-camera throwing their hats into the madness.

Barbara Crampton is, of course, most known for her numerous horror roles in movies including Chopping Mall, Lords of Salem, Re-Animator, Trancers II and You’re Next. While the size of her role is currently unknown, I can only assume she’ll be a supporting player. She will be joined on screen by other recently announced cast-members Thomas Lennon (“The Odd Couple,” “Reno 911”), Udo Kier (Bloodrayne, Dracula 3000), Charlyne Yi (“House,” “Steven Universe”), Nelson Franklin (“The Millers,” “The Office”), Jenny Pellicer and Serafin Falcon.

The addition of so many comedic actors means that we’re going to get another Puppet Master movie that blends horror with comedy. Not really on board for that one, but whatever.

Charles Band and David DeCoteau have handed over the reigns to a batch of other noteworthy film-makers including S. Craig Zahler (Bone Tomahawk), who penned the script, and directors Sonny Laguna (We Are Monsters) and Tommy Wiklund (Wither). Producers include Dallas Sonnier, Amanda Presmyk, Jack Heller, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, David Liljeblad, Laguna and Wiklund.

Principal photography is expected to begin next week in Dallas, Texas.

Synopsis according to Variety: A recently divorced young man discovers a mint condition Blade doll in his deceased brother’s closet and plans to sell the toy at a convention in Texas celebrating the 30th anniversary of the infamous Toulon Murders. All hell breaks loose during the auction when a strange force animates all of the various puppets throughout the convention as they go on a bloody killing spree.
