Sun. April 2nd at 12:30 pm Crowne Plaza Hotel, Edison, NJ

Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger, will host the prestigious New Jersey Horror Film Festival Awards, it was announced today by Levi White, Head of Public Relations at Troma Entertainment, Inc.

Troma Entertainment, the 43 year old iconic independent film company, along with Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High AKA Vol.2 star Zac Amico will be special guests attending New Jersey Horror Con from March 31st-April 2nd at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Edison, NJ. The Troma Team will have tons of Toxirific TROMERCH at the Troma Booth.

“As the creator of the first super-hero from New Jersey, I am honored to host the prestigious New Jersey Horror Film Festival Awards! Many talented independent filmmakers are struggling in this desolate industry, it is up to us to reward them for their hard work. Coincidentally, the Country Music Awards fall on the same day as the NJ Horror Film Festival Awards. The only difference between the two awards shows is that the Horror in the NJ Horror Film Festival Awards is intentional!” stated Lloyd Kaufman. The awards ceremony takes place on Sunday, April 2nd, from 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm.

New Jersey Horror Con will include over 20 well known celebrities, many indie Horror films, red carpet, awards, exclusive Q and A panels, 150 vendors and many more to be announced. New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival will be announcing celebrity guests and films as they are confirmed. Tickets available here: NJ Horror Con Tix

While Mr. Kaufman is certainly confirmed to attend, apparently his IQ is above 90 which may disqualify him as a celebrity. Not just horror fans but also horror air conditioners will be able to take pictures and receive autographs from Mr. Kaufman, Toxie and the Super Tromettes for FREE! Troma Champion and Coach Sandusky in the upcoming Return to Return to Nuke ‘Em High AKA Vol.2, Ron Mackay, will be running the Troma Booth, where TROMERCH such as the Toxie Skinner T-Shirt, Toxie patches, the radical Troma Skatedeck, and Troma’s newest Blu-ray releases B.C. Butcher & Honky Holocaust will be TROMABUNDANT!
