A Lot of Mouths to Feed: The Asylum Announces 5-Headed Shark Attack.

I’m glad this is still a thing.

Last month it was discreetly announced that the Shark Head franchise will continue with a new movie titled 5-Headed Shark Attack. This follows on the heels of 2-Headed Shark Attack (2012) and 3-Headed Shark Attack (2015). As with previous entries, the new film will follow a mutated, five-headed great white shark rampaging on an unsuspecting group of swimmers on the coast.

Christopher Ray will return to direct the franchise, having been the ships captain since 2-Headed Shark Attack. His other directing credits include similar CGI creature features like Megaconda, Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus and Reptisaurus. David Michael Latt will also return as producer and his previous credits include Jolly Roger: Massacre at Cutter’s Cove (one of my favorite guilty pleasures), Megapython vs. Gatoroid, Sharknado and “Z Nation.”

The Asylum will serve as a partnering production studio and distributor.

Since 5-Headed Shark Attack is still in the development stage, no news is available regarding lead and supporting cast. Though if this one follows the format of previous entries, we should see an appearance from a B-movie star of yesteryear.

As much as I poke fun at these movies in my reviews, I’m glad they’re still getting churned out to give Sharknado some competition!
