This 18 minute short film from writer/director Sandy Collora is a proof of concept piece, and I doubt he’ll have any problems getting the feature off the ground once potential investors watch this scifi goodness.
Shallow Water is complete cinematic experience filled with grade-A quality production; mostly in regards to the cinematography, acting and creature creation departments. With futuristic alien movies being in high demand right now, Shallow Water could turn into a must have for fans of Predator, Planet of the Apes, and Drew Barrymore’s Animal.
Old school, suspense building story-telling elements are at play, skillfully mixed with modern technology and horrific twists that help to create an extremely polished short film from produced by Eric S. Dow and starring Lisa Roumain.
Seriously, though. Watch to the end for some incredible practical and visual effects work.
