Halloween Wars Returns to FOOD NETWORK This October!

I dove into the world of cooking and baking this year and I’ve even created some horror themed goods this summer. So, I’m definitely going to tune in for season seven of “Halloween Wars” when it returns to FOOD NETWORK on October 1, 2017. But, you know what’s better than the best delectably delightful October series on television? How about a delectably delightful series and two companion shows? This October, FOOD NETWORK is giving you more scary movie themed cakes and cookies than your tummy can handle!

The candy-coated chaos begins with pre-show “Road to Halloween Wars” on October 1, 2017 at 8:00pm. The show will follow the competitions as they go from the casting process to the preparation to the kitchen. Then, on October 1, 2017 at 9:00pm, “Halloween Wars” returns for season seven with host Jonathan Bennett and teams of cake sculptors, candy artists and pumpkin carvers as they dish out the best Halloween themed displays.

Over the course of five episodes, six teams will be dwindled down until one winner receives bragging rights and the $50,000 cash prize. “Halloween Wars” will be judged by renowned cake decorator Shinmin Li and special effects artist Todd Tucker of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Hannibal, The Boy and Ouija: Origin of Evil fame. Li and Tucker will be joined by a rotating panel of horror icons including Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky, Cult of Chucky), Bryan Fuller (writer: “Hannibal,” producer: “Heroes”), Juliet Landau (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Ed Wood), Robert Patrick (Terminator 2, “True Blood”) and Shane West (Dracula 2000, “Salem”).

Finally, a third show will debut on FOOD NETWORK on October 2, 2017 at 10:00pm. “Halloween Wars: Hayride of Horror” will take competitors out of the bakery and into the fields of terror as they compete in dark and mysterious locations. Two teams will compete each episode and will be judged by Zac Young (“Top Chef”) and Bianca Appice (“American Horror Story”) with host Harley Morenstein. At the end of each episode, the winning team will receive a $15,000 cash prize.

See you this weekend for the start-up of FOOD NETWORK’S scariest month of the year. Stay hungry!
