R.I.P. Suzanna Leigh, Star of The Deadly Bees & Son of Dracula.

News broke earlier today that British actress Suzanna Leigh has passed away at age 72 due to complications stemming from stage 4 liver cancer. It was confirmed in a Facebook post on Monday by the late performer’s daughter, Natalie Leigh, in a passage that reads: “My warrior and my heart died at 5:30PM, on her terms. It was time for Jesus to take her home. The world will forever be a little less light and magical. And my life has now and will be forever changed. I personally died a little today as she was my everything and I will never be the same.”

Suzanna Leigh is most known for co-starring in Boeing Boeing in 1965 opposite Tony Curtis and Jerry Lewis, as well as Paradise Hawaiian Style in 1966 opposite Elvis Presley. However, horror fans will recognize her for starring in a number of genre titles and Hammer films including The Deadly Bees (1966), The Lost Continent (1968), Lust for a Vampire (1971), Beware my Brethren (1972) and Son of Dracula (1974). After a 37 year hiatus, she briefly returned to acting in 2015 with a role in family-drama Grace of the Father.

All of us here at HorrorSociety.com send our condolensces to her family, friends and fans.
