Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets The Night Stalker in ‘Strange Happenings.’ Season One Available on YouTube Now!

Strange Happenings

Strange Happenings is a short form television show or webseries that follows Nicole Tesla, a quick tongued paranormal journalist with a knack for getting into trouble as well as uncovering the truth about what really goes bump in the night! After being fired for her current article over Bigfoot, Nicole is hired by an anonymous backer who is interested in her online magazine, Strange Happenings. When the subjects of her new stories begin being murdered Nicole can’t help but wonder if she will be the next to go and if her mysterious backer is who he really says he is. Think “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” meets “Kolchak: The Night Stalker.”

Nicole Tesla is played perfectly by the talented Hannah Duncan who has appeared on the hit TV show “Men At Work.” Strange Happenings also features David J. Fielding as Mr. Wickles, a man with a serious ghost infestation. Fielding is forever part of TV history, known for playing Zordon from the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.”

Our creature creator and special effects artist is none other than Mike Strain of Studio 2060, who has worked on several feature films including You’re Next and the upcoming Darkness Reigns.

Strange Happenings was written and directed by Brittney Greer based off a story and concept by Jason Brasier. Both are co-owners of American Wasteland Entertainment based out of Springfield Mo. All five episodes of season one are available on YouTube or Facebook, links below. Season one is in the webfest circuit and has been nominated for best horror at Vancouver Webfest, is an official selection for Seoul webfest and has won Best Webseries and Best Production Team at Oniros Film Awards.

Funds are currently being raised for season two which will feature werewolves.
