GREENLIGHT to Open Shriekfest Film Festival

Festival Founder/Director Denise Gossett has announced the World Premiere screening of GREENLIGHT as the opening night movie on Friday, September 27th for the 19th edition of the Shriekfest Film Festival in Los Angeles. Greenlight tells the story of a young director who is forced into a real life murder plot while directing his first feature film. The movie stars Chase Williamson (Beyond the Gates, John Dies at the End), Shane Coffey (Pretty Little Liars, Starry Eyes), Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre II, Tales of Halloween) and Chris Browning (Bright, Angel Has Fallen, Only Mine, Bosch).

“We are extremely grateful to be the opening night movie of Shriekfest 2019!” says producer Rudy Scalese. “We are excited to share this special thriller with everyone!”

The film is directed by Graham Denman, written by Patrick R. Young (Bastard, My Teacher, My Obsession) and produced by Rudy Scalese (Going To Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film, Casa De Mi Padre, Ceremony). The film was financed by Talk Story Pictures and executive produced by Greg Blunden, Pamela Blunden and Phil Malasapina.

The Shriekfest Film Festival runs September 26th-29th, 2019. An opening night party will take place at Bar Sinister/Boardners in Hollywood; the rest of the festival will be at the iconic Raleigh Studios on Melrose Blvd.

Shriekfest, now in its 19th year, was created in July 2001 by Denise Gossett and has grown into the longest-running and one of the largest horror and sci-fi film festivals in the country. This is also the third year that Shriekfest will be bi-coastal with Shriekfest Orlando on November 2nd.
