Leslie Easterbrook stars in “The Voices,” Releasing on VOD April 2nd

The horror thriller “The Voices” will premiere on VOD and digital platforms on Friday, April 2nd. The film stars Valerie Jane Parker (Greenleaf, Wrong Turn), Jordan Ladd (Death Proof, Cabin Fever) and Jonathan Stoddard (One Little Finger, Rome in Love), supported by Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil’s Rejects, Police Academy) and Multi-Platinum country artist, Tracy Lawrence.

SYNOPSIS: Lilly and her mother are involved in a terrible car accident leaving Lilly orphaned and unable to see. In her youth, she struggles with her blindness and begins to hear voices. Unbeknownst to her they don’t belong to the living. Among the voices, she befriends the spirit of a little girl tied to a years-old cold case. Lilly finds herself in a desperate struggle with the girl’s murderers and the souls vying to be born again.

On the production side of “The Voices”, Chris DeBlasio served both in front of and behind the camera as Executive Producer as well as the role of Tom.

“I was originally approached to help as an executive producer in finance, distribution, and product placement/sponsorships. During pre-production we had some scheduling conflicts with an actor, so I was asked to fill the part of Tom. I really enjoyed the role,” said DeBlasio.

Not to be outdone, two-time Emmy Award winning Cambodian/American director Nathaniel Nuon also had multiple ideas in mind when making “The Voices.”

“I wanted to make a film with the visually impaired in mind. The audio description is written in the script, so it would be an equally enjoyable experience for those who can see and those who can’t.” Nuon said. This idea became key in all aspects of development and pre-production. Nathaniel wanted slightly longer takes to accommodate audio descriptions and tried to tailor the dialogue to help as well.

The film will be released on April 2, 2021 on VOD and digital platforms such as Comcast, DirectTV, Cox, Charter/Time Warner, Dish, Verizon, Frontier, as well as, Apple TV, iTunes, Amazon Video, VUDU, Google Play, Microsoft Movies & TV, FandangoNow and Redbox on Demand.
